Alan Moore calls Before Watchmen "DC soiling themselves in public" and a "reputation killer"

Writer Kurt Amacker, who has done a long history of interviews with comics legend Alan Moore recently conducted another lengthy one for the website Seraphemera.org . In this long interview Amacker naturally brought the conversation to all things Watchmen including DC's forthcoming Before Watchmen prequels, Dave Gibbons and the infamous contract with DC that has seen Moore's attempts of regaining the character rights stymied by the continual publication of the seminal work. Again the interview is quite long but I'll pull a few interesting quotes out for enlightenment and discussion. On Dave Gibbons: The money would’ve been from DC. He was acting as an intermediary. Eva Green's 'Sin City' poster is too sexy to be seen!

Well not for us readers at The Comics Ticker! But according to the MPAA the poster for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For that shows a very sexy and very nude Green draped in a sheer white gown is too risque. It was turned down by the group " for nudity — curve of under breast and dark nipple/areola circle visible through sheer gown." Producers are working with the MPAA on a compromise. The film will be released on August 22.

The Batman: The Animated Series remastered Blu-ray set is now available, and to show off just how good the upgraded versions of the episodes look, Warner Bros. Home Video has released a comparison showing the old version and the new version side by side.
