Fox announced late on Thursday that 10 more episodes of the show, about two F.B.I. agents who gravitate toward the unexplained, would air in the 2017-18 television season. Production is set to begin this summer. Season 11's 10 episodes is an increase from last year which had 6 episodes for the show's limited series event return.
Stars Davis Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have signed on to return to their seminal roles. No other information about storylines or casting was given.
Fox also released the image below in their announcement, pay attention to the positioning of the names. Anderson has now taken the first position supplanting Duchovny.
