The much talked about copy of Action Comics #1, graded as a 9.0 by CGC, sold for $3,207,852 on eBay over the weekend. This copy is one of only 6 known copies of the famous first issue appearance of Superman to be known to be in existence with a grade of 6.0 or better. It is also notable because the sale was run privately and offered on eBay and not one of the more famous auction houses that specialize in key issue sales such as Comic Connect or Heritage Auctions.
