Captain America Gears Up in New SDCC print by Alex Ross

The print, titled “Captain America: Ready for Battle,” shows the titular hero suiting up, readying his gloves, boots, mask and iconic shield for an upcoming fight. The print can be found at Alex Ross Art at Comic-Con, located at Booth #2415. According to a description from Alex Ross Art, the print is a tribute to the classic comic cover Invincible Iron Man #126 by Bob Layton and John Romita, Jr. The print was originally created for Marvel Legacy: Captain America #695.

The Death of Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy in Amazing Spider-Man 2!

As we get ready for the latest trailer for Amazing Spider-Man 2 - debuting during the Super Bowl on Sunday- Emma Stone was hitting the airwaves dropping some HUGE hints as to what to expect from him character in the sequel. On Ryan Seacrest's On the Air with Ryan Seacrest she said: “ Basically they’re going to see the continuation of the Spider-Man story, which is the hero’s journey, and he’s up against a whole new squadron of villains and he’s struggling with promises he’s made in the last movie and the consequences of making those and what it’s like to be in love with somebody who you promised to not see anymore.” She then followed it up with tihs: “I think the intention the whole time has been to tell Gwen’s story has closely to the comic as possible." As we all know Gwen's story in the comic book ended with her death in issue #122. So will we be seeing her death scene from the comic in the movie? I'm guessing yes as the photo shows.

Marvel's The Avengers brings back Joss Whedon's X-Men

Call it a happy coincidence and nothing to do with the super-popularity of Joss Whedon's Avengers film, but Marvel has announced that a novelization of Whedon's highly regarded story arc on Astonishing X-Men will be published sometime this fall. Famed author and comic book writer Peter David will be handling the adaptation of Whedon's run, done with artist John Cassaday, and one that still sells very well in various collected editions. David is experienced at adaptions of properties into other media forms, having done many novels based on films as well as a series of Stephen King Dark Tower books.
