Well why should he let not being the director stop him? Jon Favreau, who helmed both Iron Man and Iron Man 2 was on the set of Marvel Studios' follow up to the monster hit The Avengers, Iron Man 3 this week, reprising his role of Happy Hogan,Tony Stark's friend/driver/bodyguard. While he declined to direct the latest installment of the franchise he is on board not just as a member of the cast but also as one of the executive producers.
And for those out there who are looking for controversy between him and current writer/director Shane Black, it should be noted that Favreau himself- along with Robert Downey Jr.- suggested Black for the job.
