The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc. has filed suit against Dynamite Entertainment and Dynamic Forces claiming their titles Lord of the Jungle and Warlord of Mars constitute trademark infringement and unfair competition.
Even though the company is very careful not to use the words Tarzan or John Carter in any advertising or marketing they are still feeling the pressure from ERB Inc that this suit brings.
The suit also alleges that ERB Inc. has entered into licensing deals with Marvel Comics and Dark Horse Comics for the publication of Tarzan and John carter comic books and that Dynamite's publications harms these deals as well as confuse the consumer.
