SPOILERS! The new Spider-Man in 'Superior Spider-Man' is...

Well it seems that Dan Slott has let the cat out of the bag as to the identity of the new Spider-Man that will be appearing in Superior Spider-Man. There's been a lot of guessing and this was actually one I hadn't thought of. Here's a tweet that Slott had sent to series artist Ryan Stegman....

The tweet has since been deleted by both Stegman and Slott. But the damage is done if this is true folks. Could the new Superior Spider-Man- the Miguel that Slott is tweeting about- be Miguel O'Hara, the Spider-Man 2099?

SPOILERS! Full trailer for 'Iron Man 3' now online

For those who haven't seen it yet...

Image has 'Sex with Criminals' and lots more!

NYCC was a large news event with so many announcements that it was easy for publishers to have their news lost in the shuffle. Image Comics had a hug list of  new titles to be coming from established creators like Matt Fraction, Sam Humphries, Howard Chaykin and Jonathan Hickman. Our good friends at Comics Alliance were kind enough to put together a great checklist of what new books to expect from Image.

To see that list click HERE.

Red Skull in Captain America: Winter Soldier?

Actor Hugo Weaving, in an interview with Collider magazine shared his thoughts on his playing the Red Skull in Captain America: First Avenger and also on the possibility of reprising that role for the upcoming sequel. He says:
"I don’t think Red Skull will be there. And it’s not something I would want to do again. I’m glad I did it. I did sign up for a number of pictures and I suppose, contractually, I would be obliged to, if they forced me to, but they wouldn’t want to force someone to do it, if they didn’t want to. I think I’ve done my dash with that sort of film. It was good to do it and try it out, but to be honest, it’s not the sort of film I seek out and really am excited by."
Well so at this point it seems to be totally up to Marvel Studios and what they have planned for that film. As he stated he is contractually obligated to appear so if the phone rings he will have to be in that make up chair.

Love That Panel: Eternal Warrior by Patrick Zircher

I've been following Valiant's relaunch this year and enjoying how they have slowly and purposely rolled out their titles. This image was released today at the Valiant panel at NYCC and feautres one of my favorite comics characters, Gilad the Eternal Warrior. The art is by Shadowman artist Patrick Zircher who I loved on Marvel's Mystery Men miniseries from last year. The amount of detail on the piece as well as the energy to it is just amazing. Anyway here's to hoping that Valiant keeps relaunching titles and that Eternal Warrior is next.

Uncanny Avengers #1 sells out of more than 300k

And I guess this should come as no surprise but Marvel has confirmed that the first offering from their Marvel NOW! launch, Uncanny Avengers #1 has sold out of over 300,000 copies and a second printing is already on the way. With 20 covers because of the insane amount of variants being offered for it we knew that numbers were going to be high. Still it places it as 3rd on the list of recent top selling issues behind The Walking Dead #100 and Justice League #1.
