Marvel Senior Editor Tom Breevoort confirmed today at Wondercon that Carol Danvers will be taking over the name of Captain Marvel starting in July with a new title by Kelly Sue DeConnick and artist Dexter Soy. The new ongoing series, which will come out of events in Avengers vs. X-Men, gives Marvel Comics its only female led monthly title.
